If there is any bigger coincidence of 2010 I have not come across it yet. The track is playing as I am writing so excuse me if I get a tad excited. Throughout the many hours that I spent on crowded and hot buses on the roads of South India I listened to folk/ukulele-rock band Mumford & Sons. On a massive youtube binge about two weeks ago, in which I rediscovered my love for Destiny's Child track 'Say My Name', I came across the video clip for 'The Cave'. The clip is filmed in Goa, where we spent a lot of our time. The landscape and guys in the clip are the absolute embodiment of the traveling I did in India. Each state in India is vastly different and driving through them you see it all. Special (special). I will always maintain that Mumford & Sons album was my Indian soundtrack, and this film clip just makes me giddy. I've included the lyrics, mostly because the entire album is filled with gold.
